About this plan

Muktinath, at around 3,700 metres in Mustang, is revered by Hindus as a Vaishnava divya desam and by Buddhists as Chumig Gyatsa. Its 108 water spouts and natural gas flame draw pilgrims from across India and Nepal.

The journey also covers Pashupatinath in Kathmandu and the lakeside town of Pokhara, and reaches Jomsom by mountain flight or road.

8 Days / 7 Nights plan

  1. Day 1Arrive in Kathmandu

    Arrive in Kathmandu. Evening aarti at Pashupatinath Temple.

  2. Day 2Kathmandu sightseeing

    Boudhanath, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square.

  3. Day 3Kathmandu to Pokhara

    Travel to Pokhara and spend the evening by Phewa Lake.

  4. Day 4Pokhara to Jomsom

    Fly or drive to Jomsom in the Kali Gandaki valley. Mountain flights depend on the weather.

  5. Day 5Muktinath darshan

    Jeep to Muktinath for darshan, the 108 water spouts and Jwala Mai, then return to Jomsom.

  6. Day 6Jomsom to Pokhara

    Return to Pokhara. Evening at leisure.

  7. Day 7Pokhara to Kathmandu

    Travel back to Kathmandu.

  8. Day 8Departure

    Transfer for your onward journey.
