About this plan

Dwarka, the city of Lord Krishna, is one of the Char Dham, and Somnath is the first of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Together they form the heart of a Gujarat pilgrimage.

This plan adds the Portuguese-era island of Diu and Sasan Gir, the only home of the Asiatic lion, for a family-friendly week.

Itinerary

7 Days / 6 Nights plan

  1. Day 1Ahmedabad to Dwarka

    Drive from Ahmedabad to Dwarka, a long road day. Evening aarti at Dwarkadhish Temple.

  2. Day 2Dwarka

    Ferry to Bet Dwarka, Nageshwar Jyotirlinga and Rukmini Temple.

  3. Day 3Dwarka to Somnath

    Drive along the coast via Porbandar to Somnath. Evening darshan and the light and sound show if running.

  4. Day 4Somnath to Diu

    Morning at Somnath, then on to Diu for the fort and seafront.

  5. Day 5Diu to Sasan Gir

    Drive to Sasan Gir. Safari permits are booked separately and are limited.

  6. Day 6Gir to Ahmedabad

    Drive back to Ahmedabad.

  7. Day 7Departure

    Ahmedabad sightseeing time permitting, then departure.
